Candle Festival, 2011, Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand

The Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival is the largest in all of Thailand. Hopefully, this video clip captures not only the 2011 Candle Festival but also all the construction activities that take place inside Buddhist Wats before the main event. Thanks to our wonderful friends at Air Asia, we spent considerable time inside a Thai Wat with the Monks as they worked along side all the community volunteers to build the enormous and magnificent candle sculptures and parade floats.
